Lone Lake on Whidbey Island is now toxic algae-free and the water is clear and very fishable. I fished this lake for four hours yesterday and in that time I hooked and released 22 fish up to 16″ – and lost 7 others. Slow-trolling a nymph (just pick your favorite) worked the best.
Having left Bellevue for Wenatchee five years ago, I have now returned to the wet side and am living on Whidbey Island – about a 10 minute drive from Lone Lake. I’m happy to provide intel if you need it…
